The best way to get to know people at New Hope Baptist Church is to visit our adult Bible Sunday school class.

Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

What time are the Services?

The Adult Sunday School Class at 10 a.m. This class is a smaller group setting where you are invited to meet people, enjoy fellowship, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life-stage.

Adults and teens attend the main 11 a.m. service where they enjoy the beautiful congregational music, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Aaron Baxter. The 11:00 am service is a little over one hour in length.

Where do I take my children?

Starting with excellent nursery, there is something special for children of every age. During every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children two years old and under. For the infants, mothers can request nursery attendants contact them if there is a need. For children three years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Hospitality greeters can direct you to the appropriate nursery or children’s classroom.

What about my teens?

Our teen Sunday school classes are broken down into three main divisions: junior high, and high school. Most of the teens attend a class for one hour at 10 a.m. and then attend the main service at 11:00 a.m. with their parents.

How should I dress?

There is no strict dress code to attend our public services, but in case you're wondering, a majority of our church members wear their "Sunday best"—the men in a dress shirt and dress slacks, typically with a tie, and the women in modest dress.

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don't invite you to New Hope Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

How can I become a member of New Hope Baptist Church?

  • By Profession of Faith and Baptism:

If you will receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and follow Him in baptism by immersion, we welcome you into our fellowship.

  • By Letter from another Independent Baptist Church of like faith and practice:

If your church membership is elsewhere, should God direct you here, the following things are necessary. You must be sure you have Christ in your heart as your Savior. You must have been baptized by immersion after your salvation experience. You may make your desire known by coming forward during any invitation. We will happily take care of appropriate details for transferring your membership.

  • By Statement:

In the event church membership records are not available for a transfer of membership, and you have been baptized by immersion, we will accept you upon your statement of these conditions.
